Just ran two magazines through the gun this morning to see if it would work properly, and it ran great. Recoil was not too bad, it is a blowback in 9mm Makarov. Seems accurate too.

Nice pickup Marine !!
I own a East German Makarov made in 1961...during the height of the Cold War. Paid $200 for it...very accurate for a relic. See it here: topic297.html |

I am not worthy! Lol. I am always on the search for an original Makarov, but usually the ones I find are all ratted out, and overpriced. You have an East German made one huh? Nice. I hear they were some of the best of the breed. Lucky man! USMC 83' - 87'

I have one of those. Fulfilling my Polish heritage. I still have a Polish AKM parts kit to build too as a set. A stout lil' handgun, made by large Polish women full of vodka. As solid as a brick.
