I just ordered a kit from knifekits.com, my first time building instead of buying a knife. Anybody have any experience with their kits?

I've built a knife or two in my time...but have never used any parts for the site posted above.

Looking forward to your knife building thread...

I've made a few antler handled knives. I do not recall using that site for parts. Look forward to hearing how it works out

I got the kit in, but had to order some handles. Despite them being shown with the knife kit in the ad, the kit doesn't come with them. I was going to make a picture post along the way, but it's a simple relatively straight forward project. The kit instructions suck, but it's pretty self-intuitive if you've ever played with Legos or Erektor-Sets. I'm down to fitting the handles since they need to be sanded. Here's an in-progress picture:

The one bolster hasn't been installed yet as the handle needs to be sanded a bit for it to fit. Then the edges all have to be sanded to match the contours. It's progressing.

Got it finished. Sanded down the handle blanks and all. Probably as easy as tinker toys.

Hmmmmm, that photo looked a lot better before it got posted.
