Damn, that's a tough one since I have both a .223 and a .308. I'll have to go with my .308. Love the big boom!

It's hard to choose just one... I've been shooting the heck out of my '06 lately, as well as my .204. My first response would be my .25-06, but I really like my .223...

Shot a decent group with my .257 Weatherby yesterday, Barnes 80 grain TTSX Weatherby FL. Should be good to go for hunting season, should I get to go...

I hunted with my 7mm mag for 31 years. In 1999 I started shooting a .300 RUM. It's my go rifle now.

I like the 308 in either the 700 or the 600 that I have now, I also have a mountain rifle in 7x57.
The 7x57 has brought home deer on many occasions, I hope to bloody the M600 soon.

I currently only have a .308. I plan to add a .223, 270, and a .300 Win Mag in the future.

For some reason I don't see this rifle in .223. Just me I guess, but this is a "more" gun. But I feel the same about the 870, I'd never get it in 20 gauge.

Hey Guys,
I have both a 700P 223 and a 700VLS in 22 250
both have Jewell triggers and Nikon 8-32X Monarch scopes
and are both tack drivers.
Have replaced the stock on the 700VLS with a Stocky's thumb hole Varmint
with aluminum bedding, beautiful stock and perfect fit.

I used Boyds Thumbhole varmit, same laminate type, half the price. Not as many "pretty" colors, but half the price ($99) and perfect fit for my ADL -> BDL Detmag conversion using the Wyatt's Outdoor .308 trigger kit. The barrel is free float, but I haven't done the bedding, not sure I'll need to. Got to see how she shoots first, then decide.

And check out their custom options, pretty cool. I got the laser engraved Bald Eagle head on my stock. An extra $20 but worth it to me for the "Hey! Neat!" factor.

The 270

I have 700's in other calibers but that's the one I prefer.

I would prefer a .308. BUT. I was given a .243 with scope for Christmas from the family. "I love this gun." Hay. They are family.

Just did some trading and in the trade is a Remington 700 in .280. Never heard of .280 until now.

Took both to the range and put a box apiece thru them. Don't know which I like better. The .280 ammo IS kinda pricey.

22-250, 6mm Rem, 260 Rem, 7-08, 308, 30-06, 358 Win.

The 22-250, 260, 7-08, 308, and 358 are all switch barrels on one action! 5 barrels and one scoped action! Its a dream come true! All easily swapped with no gunsmith!
