A few weeks ago I got an R-25 in .243 and have got it out a few times on prairie dogs. I mounted a Minox 4.5-14x on it with a Weaver AR mount. The 4 round DPMS mag that came with the rifle was giving me quite a few FTF's so I got a Magpul mag and it feeds fine now. The 20 round Magpul sticks down a bit far for shooting prone off the bipod so I just picked up 2 Magpul 10 rounders. I tested some 87 gr. Hornady V-Max with a couple of different powders and the best load was just under an inch at 100. Load was 36.0 grs. of IMR-4895 in Nosler brass. I think it can do a bit better, hopefully 3/4" or slightly better, so I bought some 80 gr. Nosler Ballistic Tip Varmint bullets to try , and a couple more powders. I plan on replacing the creepy trigger and putting on an ambi safety, as I'm a lefty. The camo has chipped up a bit from the scope mount, not sure how durable it's gonna be. If it doesn't hold up, I'll have the rifle bead blasted then I'll Cerakote it something like a desert tan/sage green combo. The prairie dog pic was with the cell phone, so not a real great photo.
