870 Tactical barrel swap

I've seen a few places that the newer 870 tactical's have a barrel that can't be swapped with other 870 barrels due to a one piece magazine tube. I have one with a magazine extension tube screwed onto the end of the factory tube. Its seems like I should be able to use any 870 barrel with mine. I would like to know before ordering a different barrel. Any thoughts? Thanks

You are correct. All regular mag length barrels will fit your gun
If you can't sell it don't buy it

I've only ever seen one issue with swapping barrels on same gauge 870's
My buddy has a marine magnum and I have the express. My barrel will not fit his receiver. Not sure why, it should but all we can gather is that the tolerances are tight and the differences in finish prevent the two from mating up. The Marine Magnum barrel fits my Express receiver with no problems. We must reject the idea that every time a law's broken, society is guilty rather than the lawbreaker.
