Anybody else have this mark from the ejector? This is not my gun but I'm having the same thing happen but not as bad as this gun. Is this typical?

A wear mark there is normal, but they're not usually that deep. I've heard some 870 extractors were machined without a chamfer on that corner in recent years, and I believe that image is from an old thread discussing the issue.

Again, it's normal for the extractor to form a shallow wear mark there over time, it's part of an 870's normal break-in process. If your extractor is properly chamfered or beveled at that corner, you don't need to worry about it.

Biggest problem I have seen lately is they are not shaped to match the outside profile of the bolt and hit the receiver on the backstroke, marking both parts. This is with both forged and MIM extractors. Easily remedied with a file. That just looks like a leftover mark from the MIM manufacturing process. I can't see an image in the original post. I have seen a many an 870 extractor over the years, and they get a mark where the spring piston and extractor rub together, but no "grooves" or the like.
