New member with question on barrels and dates

700 BDL with Buckmaster 3x9x40 scope. Serial B62XXXXX , Date code on barrel B F. Remington says the gun was mfg in 1981 but barrel is 1985. Anyone else seen this. I'm sure it's no big deal. Just bought it for 450, still looks like almost brand new.

The issue I have with remingtons date code, is often times shotgun barrels are changes out. Rifles are sometimes rebareled with another remington barrel. I've done it more than once.
