Hi. I am new to the sight and am already questioning staying. I joined as I have a couple Remington shotguns and am looking for parts for another. I posted an ad looking for parts for an 1100 not realizing I couldn't post in the classifieds section without 30 posts. Here are the issues I have with this.

1. I did read thru the forum rules before posting and saw nothing stating this was not allowed. So I posted my ad. The next day I received PM notification that I couldn't do this and my ad was changed removing all its content. Had I known I couldn't post such an ad I wouldn't have.

2. Right below my ad in the classifieds section is another ad by a new member with 2 posts. The same moderator who edited all my content posted in his ad welcoming him to the site and left the ad alone. If you are going to have a post count rule and enforce it fine. Just make sure it's enforced equally to all members. This rubs me very wrong.

I didn't join this forum on a whim. I joined to get info and be part of the Remington owners group. I figured where better to go for information and hard to find parts. Still trying to decide if I am going to stay or not. Hopefully my future experiences are better.

PLACING AN AD IN MARKETPLACE

IMPORTANT NOTE: ONLY THOSE WHO HAVE BEEN WITH http://www.RemingtonOwners.com 30 DAYS AND POSTED 30 MESSAGES MAY LEAVE ADS.

1. Include your country of residence in the title, even if you are willing to sell outside that area. within the post, please provide an indication of where you live.
2. Specify the currency you are selling in.
3. Post pictures, where applicable, in the original post.
4. Please list any extras or accessories you will include in the transaction.
5. State the acceptable method(s) of payment.
6. Please state if shipping/insurance is included in the price. Also state the method of shipping you are proposing.
7. Mark SOLD by locking the thread
8. All Thread titles should include one or more of the following abbreviations in the TITLE:

FS = For Sale
FA = for Auction (it is permissible to advertise your ebay /auctions, but they MUST contain "FA" in the title)
FT = For trade
WTB = Want to buy (when your looking to buy something.)

If you sell only to certain continent, country or trade area, please state that in title, e.g.:
For Sale (UK) Remington 700BDL
For Sale (US) Remington 700BDL
It is always helpful to your fellow members to have your actual location listed either in the thread, or in your member profile.

DOUBLE-CHECK THAT ALL FACTS AND PRICES ARE CORRECT, AND THAT YOU HAVE PROVIDED PHOTOS AND ALL RELEVANT INFO. MAKE ALSO SURE THAT YOUR EMAIL IS WORKING AND THAT IT IS ENABLED IN FORUM'S USER CONTROL PANEL.

I cannot explain every inconsistency that takes place on the forum or the actions of individuals. Posts in the marketplace that violate the rules should be removed. We are all human and sometimes things slip by us. If you see posts that are in violation you can report them and the moderator of that forum will be alerted to the violation.

We try to do our best to make the forum a pleasurable, laid back place. We are glad to have you and I hope you stick around for a while.

Thanks.
