I picked up this little jem at a pawn shop yesterday. The guy I bought it from said it had no serial number on it as it was pre 1968. This did'nt bother me because I a Targetmaster that was my grandfathers and it has no serial number because of its age. My question is, when I took it out of the stock for a good cleaning, I found a five didgit number with no letters. It is on the left side in front of the receiver. Is this a serial number or ust a part number? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Tried to load a photo but guess it did'nt want to show up on here.
