Hello - new to the forum and generally new to shot guns. My buddy got me hooked on duck hunting last year so this year I decided to purchase my first shotgun and decided to go with an 1187 sportsman field.
I bought some slugs off bass pro for home defense and to have fun with at a family farm. After some research I decided to purcahse Remigton Slugger. these are High Vellocity - 7/8 oz. rifled slug / 3". I just noticed on the shell it says MAGNUM. It does not state it on the box though and did not on the website.... Are these safe to shoot out of my gun? I have two chokes. The modified choke that came with and an improved cylinder screw in choke I bought used. Any advice would be greatlly appreciated so i don't ruin my new gun.
Thanks in advance!

yes
and either choke will work, but try the IC first. We have done so much for so long with so little, we are now qualified to do anything with nothing!
