Hello,

I just ordered 700 SPS Tactical. I couldn't find what I wanted locally so I am waiting for it to get delivered. I can't wait to take it to the range.

Thanks, just ordered a Bushnell scope for it. Hopefully they will both get here soon.

It finally made it to the dealer. I will be picking it up tomorrow and hopefully getting some range time this weekend.

I went over the weekend. Its a fun gun to shoot. Still a little off on the sites but I didn't spend a lot of time on it. I'll finish it the next time I go.

So I went out alone to finish sighting the scope but apparently its like the car Christine and it fixed itself while it was in my bag for a few weeks. Its weird because I've never owned/used a gun with a scope and i made 2 quick adjustments the first time i went but mostly just shot for fun. I was happy enough I didn't touch anything.

I just used the plastic box they had on the tables at the range and the cheapest sand bag I could find to try and keep it steady. (I need to get off my butt and get the bipod ordered.)

I used Hornady amax 168 gr and both Winchester and Remington 180gr (its all I could find).

It likes the hornady a lot! The remingtons were decent and the winchester was all over the place but was dead on at times.

The squares in the background are 1 inch. I only put 5 rounds through it before yesterday. I am a full on noob with anything longer than 12 yards and anything besides a handgun. I love it though.

Someone with skills could have done much better than this.

Nice groupings; your setup may like smaller grain ammo. Have you tried any of the 147gr rounds?

Lately all I can find is 180gr. I bought it just so i could shoot the gun. I figure less accurate is better than not shooting at all. I'll look around for this as well

If I had a way to keep it more steady it would have looked better. I'm still learning. I haven't shot a rifle in 20 years and that was a .22.

Here is the 180gr. I've never been hunting before it I think it will still do the job.
