I just purchased an old looking wood stock from a guy with the intention of refinishing it . He said it was an older law enforcement stock . I just wanted to make sure that was a good idea . I didn't want to ruin something that was old . Thanks for any help .

Why would you think it would be ruined?
Also, what condition is the firearm that it would be going on?

I would go ahead and refinish it. It is, more than likely anyways, not something that your going to ruin the value of it. What kind of gun did it come off of?

Thanks for the reply's . It's going on a new 870 . I bought it from a guy who is in law enforcement and said it had been on an older police shotgun . I finally found a vent rib 18.5 barrel . I was going to go all tactical with it but now seeing it with the wood and the vent rib barrel I think I am going to leave it as is .
