My single action springfield 1911 has a sweet trigger. It has some take up, then hits a slight wall, then breaks very crisp. Now with that trigger held to the rear if I rack the slide and let off slightly on the trigger the trigger resets. That second trigger pull is even better than the first. There is no take up and the break seems even lighter. How is the reset trigger pull on the R51? Please compare the R51 pull to other pistols.

The trigger on the R51 has very little movement to the rear before reaching the point that it breaks. Mine has about a 5lb pull at the break point. About the same as MOST 1911 triggers. I have a Remington R1 carry with a 3.5lb trigger and a Kimber Super Carry Ultra Plus with a 4lb trigger.
I CANNOT feel or hear a reset point in the R51. I have fired 225 live rounds as well as dry fired about 200 times and so far no actual feel for the reset. This trigger will spoil you. It feels lighter than it actually is, but is consistant. |
