I have a Remington Model 58 that I need to fit a replacement barrel on. I have the Model 870 barrel that I would like to fit to it. However the Model 870 needs to have the gas port drilled to make it work on the Model 58.

Is there anyone one on the forum that knows of a good gunsmith in South Texas can do this? If not in South Texas do you know of anyone anywhere that can do this?

If you do please email me at rgs1935@att.net. It will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I would PM him if I knew how.

Could you please walk me through how to do this? I just found this forum and haven't figured it out yet.

I'm not familiar with anyone close to you, but lemme contact this tejas heathen that tujays and I know. I'll see if he might have knowledge of a smith down your way. This heathen has not seen the light and found remingtons yet, though his daddy tried to teach him as have I. There's just some hard headed folks in houston!

Iffn ya can wait just a day or two, I'll round up the heathen and have him contact you! He answers to phideaux or nick.

I've got lots of time. If you can find someone down here I would really appreciate it. However I can send it off if need be. As long as who ever does it know what their doing.

This is a replacement Model 58 for one I had stolen sometime back. I want to start back to trying to bust clays again before I cash in my chips.

Thanks for all your effort.
