questionable trade

I have a nice 1100 mag. 12 ga. And the opportunity to trade out for a FAUSTI O/U that is equally as nice. Don't know if I should! I don't know a lot about o/u guns just always wanted one but don't want to get burned.

Well I'm not an O/U guy but just looked at the Fausti O/U's on gun broker and they are worth some serious cash! Try and figure out what model and year it was made and we (as in us on this forum) should be able to help you out more.

It is the Fausti traditions field hunter 12 ga. 28 in. CT3 like the one on gun broker with the engravings. I think the price on there was $589. But the 1100 mag. Is bringing more on there too!

I know my 1100 is nice but someone cut the original barrel and put flush fitting colonial tubes in which doesn't make sense with a magnum. I Have a hastings barrel for it also that will cycle light loads but can't find chokes for it only has mod. In it.

Now that makes more sense. I simply searched "Fausti" on gunbroker and was seeing O/U's on there about $1000 and up! Well, I guess if you really want that O/U go ahead and get it. Personally, I'd take an 1100 Mag all day but O/U's don't work the best for me. And honestly, I'm not sure if this Fausti at that price point will be as reliable as the old 1100. You really gotta spend a good chunk of change on an O/U to get a good one

Right I did some more searching also and found that the traditions is low end stuff made by fausti. And I see that the 1100s are going for 8 and 900$ think I will hold on to my Remington. I have an 870 20 ga. That I've hunted with all my life . Will always be a Remington man!

Nothing like a good ol Remington! But yes I would also hold onto that 1100 Magnum. They will only go up in value also since they are no longer made
