I want to fix up my grandfather's old 22, it's a nice gun. I'll enclose a pic, I need the knurled knob that holds the peep sight in place, and the little piece of metal under it, with the little line on it.

Might try numrich arms. They carry lots of old parts, and some newly made parts for older guns.

Thanks for the reply, this is not going to be easy. I checked the internet fairly well, one guy had removed the peep sight for a scope, I hoped. His reply was not clear. Maybe you don't always have to remove the peep sight to install a scope.
Went to a local gun show here in Atlanta, lots of fun. Sure glad this is still legal. Had to laugh, one guy was selling adapters for an oil filter to collect cleaning fluids.
Most all the guns were expensive, just found good prices at one dealer as they were closing. I can get a nice 22 with a nice scope at a nearby pawn shop for $150. Not bad at all.
Would like to fix up Grandpa's 22, I have a pic of my SOG brother holding it when he was 6 or so.

Hi, guys, thanks for the welcome.
Seeing Shooter 13's pic reminds me of my big question about warfare, which I asked my Army SF brother. "How can you possibly carry enough ammo?" He said ammo was flown in, sent forward to the troops.
Still seems improbable to me, that Tommy gun will empty itself in one breath, then you only have the four or so magazines you're carrying, which are not light. You're good for about two minutes of good shooting, and then what? Throw rocks until more ammo comes?
In all the videos of Vietnam, Korea, WWII, etc, the troops are dropped off with a mission. This supply line of ammo isn't shown. All I see is guys out on patrol or engaged in battle with only the supplies they can carry.
Obviously, I didn't serve, so this is all a mystery to me. For sure, my hat is off to all who did.

The Thompson SMG can fire from the 30 round stick mag pictured, as well as from a 50 and 100 round drum magazines...I know...because I own one !
