The folded leaf follower spring in my 1975 760 magazine broke. I am having trouble in finding a replacement. I emailed Remington and was told they no longer support this model. Does anyone have a source for this spring?

Having no luck on finding one, I took the bull by the horns. The spring broke at the fold, so I TIG welded the spring back together. Not the most desired solution, but better than throwing away a $25 magazine. The spring has good tension on it. I will use it as my spare. Time will tell if it lasts.

Numrich arms has been a good source for older parts, and Brownells may have the spring as well. Also, a good metal shop may be able to make a new spring.
