I have a Remington 700 .270 BDL. It is a wooden stock with iron sights and a hinged bottom plate. Can anyone tell me if there i any other info I need when looking for stocks other than what I have oncluded in the first sentence?

No further info required to my knowledge. I also have a .270 in a synthetic version of what you mentioned. Only difference is mine doesn't have iron sights, but that doesn't affect the stock anyway.

Good luck!

Got an ADL in 30-06. Bought in 84 with the safety that does not lock the bolt down. Satin finish on the walnut stock with cut checkering. Nice option was having sling swivels attached.

Thanks man...I actually found out that it matters whether you specify L/A or S/A....be it Long Action or Short Action. Had to call Remington straight up to find that out, but all is good! Thanks for your help!

Good to know...wouldn't have thought but yeah absolutely makes sense. The relief cut in the stock for the bolt to move...duh should have seen that.

Well you and I have the long action as does mauser9....the 270 Win cartridge is the younger and slightly faster brother to the 30-06. Both share the same length case....270 has more of a taper at the business end to fit the smaller bullet.
