Just joined the forum, live near Cabot, AR & drive a truck OTR for a local company. Always liked shooting & just picked up a 597 & of course wanted to go to the best source for good info. Came with a camo stock which I traded for a gray & last week installed a Bushnell 4x32 rimfire scope. Took it out last weekend & it performed flawlessly. With some adjustments was shooting a 3" circle at 25 yards which I considered good for my time away from shooting. I'm sure I'll tighten that up soon. Future mods are maybe a laminated thumbhole stock & a different trigger as it will only be used for target shooting. Hope someday to find a LH 700 or a Woodsman to have a large caliber rifle.
