I've narrowed down the choices for my next rifle to two: The 700 SPS Tactical or the 700 SPS Tactical AAC-SD and I need input/advice! It will be a .308, but what should I think about before deciding? I probably would never run a suppressor, but maybe a muzzlebreak if I went with the AAC-SD. Even that's not a "must-have" for me. I know the twist is different between the two, which may affect which ammunition I'll end up using. Right now, I'm considering the two a toss up and need some help deciding. Thanks in advance for any input!

Nice to see you joining in here on RemingtonOwners. Welcome aboard!
If it were me, I think that a Tactical is pretty much the ballz. I won't bother with a can on my threaded barrel .308 rifle. Do you ralize how freakin' HEAVY the can would be? And a brake (not "break") is loud as hell with little benefit for the most part. Again, welcome aboard. Feel free to disagree with me... it's perfectoy OK.

Thank you, Nitesite! I went ahead and placed an order for the regular Tactical model. After thinking about it for a couple days, I figured I don't really need a suppressor or want to spend the money on one, nor do I care to deal with the BATFE paperwork and additional cost. I'll put the difference in price towards an improved stock to replace the Hogue that many complain about that comes on the Tactical if it turns out I'd like something a little more rigid. Again, thank you for your input, it is much appreciated.

I like mine don't have a lot of range time but with the weaver scope it shoots pretty well still don't have it sited in the way I want too. At 200 yards I am still 3 inchs or 12 clicks down, windage right on. The 700 really feels good to shoot and can't wait to go back to the range. Also I didn't want the threaded barrel due to that I wasn't going to spend 5 to 8 hundred for a suppressor and 200 tax stamp and then not be able to do anything with it. When they hear the rifle go off it is too late anyway.
