I haven't posted in a while but some of you may remember the I have had problem with my brand new Versa Max not shooting POI but shooting to the left. This became very evident when I installed a set of TRU GLO Turkey sights on it. It still shoots left of center.

Here's what has been done to it:
Remington and a member on here suggested that I remove the stock and set the bolt to the top, left position. That helped a little but still left of center.

I have tried many different loads and brands of shell but that didn't help either.

Lastly, Remington sent me a new barrel for the gun but no luck.

I am sending the gun Back to Remington this week and if they can't fix it then I am going to demand a new gun. If they do not agree to this, I will be selling it for whatever I can get out of it.

Remington says that the problem is me because I shoot left handed. This can't be because I have had several people shoot it for me and it still shoots to the left.

Any last thoughts????

Kind of odd. I would have expected it to change if you put a new barrel on it.

I honestly have no idea, esp if it still does it and does it for different shooters.

The magazine tube is installed crooked.
Not enough for you to see that it is angled to the left, not so much that you can't install your barrel, but enough to make any barrel you put on it shoot to the left downrange.

Interesting.

Bigtime, Were the Truglo Sights mounted to both receiver and the barrel or were these just mounted to the barrel? If both were mounted to the barrel itself, I do not think the problem could be a misaligned magazine tube. It could definitely be the issue if the sights are mounted the receiver and the barrel.

Also when you switched barrels did you use the same choke tube? Did you try other choke tubes with it and experience the same results?

To answer your questions, the Truglo sights were both mounted on the barrel and yes, I have tried all of the choke tubes that came with the gun and also bought a TruLuck choke tube but they all shot left of center.

Now the interesting thing is that my gun was returned to me from Remington and shoots fine, she's dead on!!! The only problem now is that no one from Remington can tell me what the problem was. I have called several different times to try and find out what the problem was but everyone at Remington says the same thing, "the tech didn't put anything on the repair ticket"??? Kinda aggravating to me but I guess that whatever they did fixed it!!!!

Weird that they won't tell you. If it was your fault they definitely would have let you know so I guess you can just be happy that it works now. Glad you got it worked out.

Is there any way to straighten the magazine tube? I've sent mine in to Remington and the returned pattern was fine but I've patterned mine and have had two friends pattern it with the same results.

If you have the stock adjusted correctly, there is only one thing you should do......
Call Remington again and explain to them what you just told us and that you think the mag tube may be the problem. They will have you send it in again.

What color is your mag tube? Black or Silver?

When they send it back with a black mag tube your issue will be corrected.
