Alright fellas,

Been to the rifle range lately? Have a target grouping you're proud of? Well let's see it. Let us know what rifle and ammo you used and at what distance you were shooting. Let's see what you've got...

Here's the best 100 yd group out of the 500 rounds I sent down range. Was shooting 55 grain Federal value packs from Wal-Mart...

Got out this morning with my Busmaster and SCAR...

Here's my best 100yd results with the Bushy...

Image

I added a Sightmark magnifier behind the Eotech on my SCAR and it really improved my groupings. Here's a 100yd, 90 round rapid fire group...

Image

Still at 100yds, I slowed it down a bit and tried to place ten deliberate shots on each bull...

:D It was a good day! :D

Got out with the .308 Remy 700 AAC-SD this afternoon...

Image

Was a still day with almost no wind at all...

At 100yds, put 23 rounds of 168gr Federal Premium Gold Medal Match into the target below with groups ranging from .35MOA (top left) to .65 MOA (bottom right). The four shot group in the bottom left measured in at a hair under .5 MOA. Got down to the last round and I couldn't resist pluggin the barcode...

My shoulder is a little worse for wear, but it was a good day! :D

Nice shoot'n!

If you can get your hands on some, try the Federal Premium Gold Medal Match. That stuff is SILLY consistent and has given me my best groupings so far.

I've read that the 168gr bullets are the bomb in this gun.I eventually hope to start reloading my own ammo.just using the federal for range time and the brass.my search to find match ammo locally hasn't been very successful.have only came across a couple boxes of the Remington match ammo and wasn't ready to pay $40 a box.especially since I have seen match ammo for almost half that price online.

Good luck on your ammo search. I shoot a lot of the Federal Power-Shok from Wally World just to keep sharp. It's definitely a lot cheaper than the match stuff...

I guess the .308 is the hot ticket around town.the only place I was able to get the cheap federal was from gander mountain and they had quite a bit.I went to 4 different academy's and 3 Wally worlds looking for ammo.I found 2 boxes of the cheap Winchester ammo at a Wally world and the academy's only had a few boxes of the high dollar hunting ammo.I was very surprised that the federal was as cheap as it was at gander mountain.they are usually very proud of their stuff and the prices usually show how proud they are.

Put 500 rounds of Federal XM193 5.56 through the Spikes and another 240 rounds through the SCAR today. Also sent a 100 round Federal Wally World bulk pack .223 down range between the two. What a day! Here's a couple targets from the Spikes...

First 100 yd target after sight-in...

After a bit of adjustment, here's the best 100yd target of the day...

Made it out to a buddy's farm off the Duck River yesterday about an hour and a half outside of Nashville. We did some river shootn, ran some home-made two gun courses, but the day started off with some distance shootn. The targets were set up right at 400 yards out down at the bottom of a hill. We were shootn 8" shoot n see targets stuck to a 6'x8' sheet of plywood. There were also a few targets stuck to a 4'x4' steel sheet hangin off the side.

One of the guys brought his .308 Remy 700. It had been fully accurized and boy that thing was sweet!

Image

He was kind enough to let me send a few down range. Here are the three shots I took at the steel...

Image

The first shot was way high, but the next two were spot on...

Image

This was a great start to the day!
