New guy here with some questions. I have recently acquired a super nice Model 11 12 ga , 27" barrel with gauge not marked, full fixed choke. Above the FULL stamping are : E U U 3 . Right side of the barrel has had the original RP overstamped with what appears to be RPR. My local gunsmith said it looks like it was refurbished at the factory because of the quality of the bluing. Solid ventrib. Super clean and the wood is beautiful, plain, not checkered. I asked if I could shoot it (serial number verified by Remington dates it to 1906 !!!) and he said to just use standard 2.75 loads. I replaced the recoil and action springs, action spring plug (wooden one was a little brittle, still have it), bronze friction sleeve and outer ring. Cycles 4 snapper caps just fine. I am anxious to try it out as I have been told these are great shotguns, just a plain jane A5. Any help in the meanings of the markings would be greatly appreciated.
