Evening folks. A bit of a problem that I hope we can resolve. My daughter recently purchased an 870 Express in 12 gauge. She was ecstatic to bust some clays with her new toy. Much to our disappointment, it would not fire at all, and this is an out of the box gun. We heard the click from the hammer but not even an indent on the primer. The dealer doesn't have another for exchange, so I'm looking for a possible solution. I have no issues fully dismantling it to make a repair and put a smile back on her face. I've had a Wingmaster for many years and have never experienced any such problems with it. Is it possible to have a broken firing pin from a brand new 870?

That does sound odd, I would suggest you disassemble it to get a better look at what could be going wrong. Maybe there is something stuck behind the carrier or something like that. Let us know when you have it taken apart and hopefully we can figure this one out.
