This is my first post here, seems to be a good group of guys. This is my first rifle, and I'm having a hard time figuring out just which one it is, and when it was made. There is a barrel stamp on the left side near the receiver (?) it looks like a hand etched "xi". Definately not stamped like the rest of the barrel. It does not have a floor plate (?) top load only. It has a walnut stock that is checkered. I have pictures but I'm having difficulty loading them.. Maybe someone can give me a value for this gun in excellent condition, and also tell me what it is, aside from a model 700. Thanks guys!


Edit: it's a 22-250, sorry! Serial number begins with "A"
