my grandson and myself went deer hunting and both had purchased the remington 750 woodmaster. With every shot fired the reciever would not close or if it did close it wouldnt pull the empty hull. every single shot with both guns! I HAVE OWNED REMINGTON GUNS WITH PRIDE ALL MY LIFE! i called remington and talked to the manager Jeremy, who was no help at all. these are new guns and both had the same problem. anyone else have this problem?

This seems to be the norm with the 750 models. All of the gun shops in my area have stopped selling them because of fail to fire and fail to load issues. Sorry for your luck on this but your not alone. If you complain hard enough and you will get a free hat. Remington customer service will never admit a problem. Thats the problem.
If you can't sell it don't buy it

Hope the place you purchased them will come good as you do get a warranty when you buy a new gun. I purchased one of the first 750's, around 2007. That gun would jam-up and stove pipe rounds, turned out the magazine would not properly stay locked into the reciever. When the bolt travelled forward it would knock the magazine out of position. My gun was returned for a refund as alot were being sent back. I now own 3 750's and they all work perfect, the magazines are finicky to get properly locked in. I always make sure I hear that magical "click" when inserting the mag that "click" tells me the mag is locked in.

Have you tried different ammo brands and loads? Both mine like full power loads. If I try 150-180grain target loads they will not cycle. Stands to reason. :?:

Sounds like discouraging news. Wonder if there other problems not related to the magazine. After all these years feeding and extracting issues should not be an issue if gun is maintained and kept clean between firings. My Model Four has not given me any headaches but in all honesty it does not get a lot of usage.

The retailer you purchased from may be your best course of action.

I had similar issues with a Mossberg pump. I tried dealing with Mossberg directly but that was a complete wash out. I finally had to lean on the retailer. I have heard that customer service with some of the large gun manufacturers has been really suffering the last couple of years.

I'm glad I bought my gun from a larger store, they took it back and exchanged it no questions asked. Unfortunately or fortunately the Mossberg they exchanged for me was also defective. I exchanged it a second time for the 870 I have now. ;)

For any Canadian brothers here, I can't say enough good things about Wholesale Sports....they treated me very well. A heckuva lot more than I can say about Mossberg.
