What do you all think of the new Carry model just announced?

This may not be the best for concealed carry, but looks like a very nice 1911.

Sharp looking pistol. Not a fan of the ambi safety. And the $1300.00 price tag is a turn off. And I would think as a carry pistol it would have a 4" barrel. But I am glad to see Remington expand on there 1911s.

I am hoping the real world price is about $1,000.

It is definitely not a concealed carry 1911, but I like the additional work they have put into this one.

I am very tempted, and like the fact that it is made in upstate NY (where I also live). For a range/fun gun or bedside gun, it would be great.

I like the looks of it, but am still interested in a full size R1 for a range work...

It is full sized specs show it to have the 5" barrel.

I already have the standard R1 and carry it several hours every day. The only change that I think about is the Novak front tritium sight.

Just ordered mine at local gun shop in Texas for $1,100 & change. That’s a lot of green for a 1911 Commander, but I think its worth it. Includes combat tritium night sights and checkering on front strap. I wanted a black satin finish, so that ruled out Ruger. We will see.

I use my Remington R1 as my EDC with an IWB hybrid holster.
