Hey y'all. I have been a lover of the police 870 since I carried one in uniform patrol as a sheriffs deputy for many years here in Louisiana. I enjoy "rescuing" the pawn shop and LE trade ins, beadblasting, cerakoting, and re-finishing stocks. I have an issue with an older Wingmaster that has stumped me. For some reason it's action isn't as smooth as the others. It functions as it should and I have had no ejection problems. Just doesn't have that easy/ smooth slide when racking. I have tried different bolts (chrome, express, etc) and have the same result. I wouldn't describe it as sticky, just takes a bit more effort than any other. It was like this before I cerakoted, so I know it wasn't anything I did. I am fairly experienced in the takedown/part replacement , but am not about to claim "gunsmith" status. Any thoughts? Thanks

The mag tube could have a slight bend to it. The forestock slide rails maybe bent. The receiver may have been sqeezed together slightly. Can you see any areas in the receiver or on the mag tube that has a shiny metal to metal contact pattern?
If you can't sell it don't buy it
