The only problem that I see that Remington let slip on the fit and finish of their R1 is the trigger slop. I Love my Remington and I am thinking of buying a SS model. The only thing that is not finished well is the trigger. Just sloppy. I am debating on changing the trigger to a Wilson short trigger. Just curious how every one else feels about the trigger. I looked a three different R1's before I bought mine and the trigger was the same on all three. When I say sloppy just moves up and down sloppy. Little pre travel but not to bad. Other than that it is a perfect fit and finish.
Just thoughts?

Shooter13, I have the same trigger on order that I put on my Taurus PT1911. Wilson, I will let every body know how it works.

I did get the Wilson trigger put into the R1 yesterday. It took no fitting at all. Only thing that I did have to do was adjust the pretravel tabs and get them adjusted. The Wilson trigger is just a little bit taller than the stock trigger, fit right in with very little up and down movement now. Still a little but much much better. When I get my new Raasco grips installed with the gold grip screws I will add pictures of it. To me the $33.00 for the Wilson trigger was worth it. Second one I have used in my 1911's now.

Finally got the Raasco grips in and put on with the Gold grip screws. Also added the Wilson trigger for a little tighter fit. Shows the thick flange end cap. Also shows the Kimber 8 round magazine, I like the Kimber 8 round because unlike the Remington 8 round that came with it the magazine bottom is flat metal and even with the grip Magwell.
