anyone out there that can give me some basic background about this shotgun? I inherited it from my father. I think he owned it since the fifites.

Approximately 160,000 were made between 1931 to 1949...in gauges 12 / 16 / 20...with barrels ranging in length from 26" to 32"...prices range from $450 VG to $275 Good.

32" barrels command a 25% premium. Add another 25% for early banded barrels.
