Recently I have been looking to get a spotting scope to use at the range when I bench shoot, what do you guys recommend?

Thanks for the info Shooter. Do you recommend a spotting scope that has an angled eye piece or a straight one for bench shooting?

It's really personal preference...but the straight on one I own makes the transition from firearm to scope easy when I bench shoot...

I think I would prefer an angled one if you could mount it as low as possible, or at least lower then your eye height when on rifle scope.

Currently I use a cheap eBay one, cant remember the brand, I think barska maybe. 25-125 x 80mm, objective dia is a guess until I get home

It works, super high magnification is fuzzy, but only above "75x", at 125x it's not very clear. Also I am unsure if claimed magnification numbers are accurate....

If I had the money, I'd buy a nicer one...

Thanks for the heads up on Barska. I saw that Gander Mountain had a few of them on their website but they had not reviews on them. Ill try and stay away from them.

Don't get me wrong, they work ok for the money they are. Just dont expect high quality, high dollar glass.
