The feed ramp has the same black finish as the rest of the barrel. Is polishing the feed ramp to a mirror finish a good idea? Bad idea?

it's always a good idea to polish the feed ramp. i do not use a dremel, but polish by hand. jewelers rouge works good. problem using a dremel is getting too aggressive and changing the shape of the feed ramp.
