I was perusing the open auctions on Gunbroker the other day looking for a LH Model 1100 in 12GA at a reasonable price point. Out of over 300 open auctions for Model 1100 shotguns, around 6 were for LH versions and the rest were RH. Did Remington have a ratio they used for manufacturing or were LH guns only manufactured if ordered by a distributor?
Thanks,
Gary

Been asked before, and no one really knows. Apparently they would set up the line and make a bunch, and ship them out as distributors ordered them. When the supply ran out or got low, they would make another batch.
What could have happened... did.
