Back in the mid 1980s, I purchased a Model 700 "Police" rifle, in .223 Rem.

It has a 24" heavy barrel, oil-finished walnit stock (no checkering) and the barrel & receiver are parkerized (NOT bead-blasted matte finish). I purchased it new and still have the original box. I know this same model was also chambered in .308 Win., because, at the time, I couldn't decide which caliber to buy.

I'm trying to find out if it has any collectors' value, but I can't find reference to it in the Blue Book. Anyone have any info?
I'm not sure how to upload photos , but I can provide a couple upon request.
