The spacer at the back of the RM380 magazine is not tacked in place and simply slides in or out. Without the spacer if you change the spring and follower the 380 magazine becomes a 9mm magazine. Does that suggest that there may be a 9mm barrel option available in the near future?

We can only hope so. But the bankruptcy may have slowed that down. Was hoping it would be introduced at the SHOT show bur haven't heard anything.

Not necessarily. They may have simply modified the Rohrbaugh 9mm magazine to accommodate 380.

My RM380 after 875 rounds of standard pressure 380 has a lot of frame wear. I’m not sure the frame could handle 9mm.

when you say frame wear, are you talking about the rails, or something else? has the wear caused any reliability problems?

Picture below. No reliability issues.

Agree totally, and another issue I’d Remington is working through a bankruptcy so investing in tooling to add calibers to make new model of existing guns might be too costly while making a stainless slide is not. I also think that Remington has found a sweet spot in the 380 market.

Longest barrel length in a micro.
All metal construction
Locked breech rather than blowback.
Reliability
Great reviews
Growing market for 380 micro

I know from another forum that the gun is becoming more popular because of the high number of mentions the gun gets. Also Galloway Precision is increasing its offerings for the gun and it would not do that unless there were substantial orders coming in.
