New to this forum....I like it very much. Can anyone tell me what years the 7600 in 7mm-08 were made? I just bought one, and it's a dandy. Very accurate too! Thanks

Geeze, ya might have to peruse old Remington literature for that, or call Remington tech support. Sure do love the 7mm-08 myself, especially in a Model 7.

Give ya what I found Sparky. 1990-500 1991-1000 1998-250 with satin walnut 2000- 250 with brown laminate stock. Which stock have you got? Sounds like it may be tough to find in 7MM-08. Goodscore.

I e-mailed Remington, and MUCH to my surprise, they responded!. That certainly gave me more faith in their customer service, which lately has been in the tank. I gave them the serial number, they told me it was made in 1993. Mine has a gloss finish. Got it on GunBroker last year. I can't believe how accurate it is for a pump / slide action although 7mm-08's are inherently accurate with most all rifles. I have a 700 in that caliber, so that's why I bought this one. Why on earth Remington doesn't offer that in their line up every year is beyond me. Especially when it's their cartridge.

Good info and glad they got back to you. Remington's customer service has been spotty lately, and there's hope they are "on the way back". The pump/slide actions and semi-auto actions tend to wear on the bolt lugs more than a bolt action, but they are still plenty accurate. Yup, the round is a great one and a sure keeper.
