I would like to mount a Zeiss Conquest 3x9x40 scope on my 742BDL. However, the front bell of the scope rests on the back of the rear sight, just slightly, but probably enough to affect accuracy. I know I could use higher rings, but don't want to as I like to keep my head low on the stock when shooting. I think I would rather remove the rear sight. Does anyone know how to do this? Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Doesn't it have a screw in the top of rear sight?.

Yep, pulled my head out of my posterior and found the screws after I removed the top of the sight. Thanks for your help.
