New member from NC, but long time Remington owner.
First was an 870 Wingmaster 12ga back when I was 16. Then a M700 30.06 when I was 18. Still have those two. My Grandad gave me his falling block #6 (boys rifle) when he passed on. I enjoy taking it out now and then.
Last month I picked up a R51. It's a very light weight, small package. I put nearly 200 rounds through it with one misfeed. It is quite accurate too. The Pederson Hesitation Lock mutes the recoil quite a bit. This lightweight gun does not have much recoil. The slide force needed to cock is very low, how interesting is that? Once you get used to the trigger, your patterns shrink big time. I think I am going to like it.
I'm looking forward to participating in the forums!

Welcome Oldwolf. Hold onto that Wingmaster and 700. Good solid made guns for sure with nice wood. They should sell for much more used than they usually do. Bought my 1100 and 700 back in 80 and 84 when you got a great gun for a reasonable price.

We must reject the idea that every time a law's broken, society is guilty rather than the lawbreaker. It is time to restore the American precept that each individual is accountable for his actions.-Ronald Reagan
