Under the sister site sub forum, include a Marlin owners entry. They are owned by the same company.

We have thought about doing that but there happens to be a "Marlin Owners" site already. We could create a small section to talk about Marlins though. We could also do one for Bushmaster.

How about contacting the Remington Company to ascertain if they are willing to install a link from their website to ours...creating a conduit for Remington Users to become part of the Remington Owners community.

What their site does have is...

My Remington...not a forum, just a place to write a story and submit it without the interaction of other Remington users.

Your Remington...to read the story a person in My Remington posts...again no interaction

Friends of Remington...Football Star Brett Farve and Haley Heath...click on their image to get to their website

Then things like Recipes, Videos, On-line Newsletter...but basically...no official sanctioned forum linked or at their website.

What do you think Doc ?!

That is a great idea and is one of our sites goals. Thanks for the input.

How about a job search forum, I`ve been looking for work for 6 months as have a lot of other folks. This forum might be a good place to do some networking or get some contacts. I could use all the help I can get and ammo isn`t getting any cheaper.

That is certainly something that I have never thought of before! I will try and add a section for that!

No forum interaction because your forum structure is incorrect. You should restructure your forum format and look at successful forums such as Savage and others for new ideas.

Yes, I can see this, but I see it as a bit confusing navigating my way around this particular forum. I am excited to have bought my first Remington rifle, and want to share the happiness! :D

The layout is a little different but on our sister site www.MossbergOwners.com it has worked quite well so I don't want to change it completely but we are always open to suggestions. There will be a site refresh coming shortly.

Is there any possibility we could have a topic section for 2nd Amendment or gun related issues? Remington surely has a stake in things such as this...right? Just curious. ;)

Get more members, first off. The place is dead considering that I just joined. You might consider some sort of vendor support such as MarlinOwners has, or others.

Request to add the following Remington models, as both are on my 'buy' list for this year and would like to report under the proper topic.

1. Remington ultimate muzzleloader

2. Remington V3

Thanks!

To generate some interest and activity. One or two raffles, contest prizes, or even the ability to buy some swag help get the ball rolling.

I really would like more ammunition (experiences, talking point) to talk about my 783. I think my rifle is fine despite my low skill level and I'm successfully learning to shoot effectively beyond 100yds. Yes, I"ll admit that I've just shot my first rounds at 200 and 300. So I guess It is on me to keep asking questions as well.

Can we have a topic section, or whatever you call it, on 2nd Amendment issues/related items? Some people here might come up with some discussion points/information, for the rest of us to be informed about.

I belonged to the Ruger Talk and Smith-Wesson Forums for a couple years. Once I sold my Ruger and S&W pistols, having elected to carry the RM380 exclusively, I withdrew from first the Ruger Forum but not the S&W Forum, where I mostly gravitate to the forums for concealed carry/self defense and 2A issues.

Based upon the slight participation in the RM380 subforum on this site, I was beginning to think the gun was not very popular in spite of the many glowing reviews it consistently received in a variety of media. Then one day in responding in a thread on the S&W subforum about Every Day Carry I wrote that my EDC was an RM380, and I explained why I chose it. Much to my surprise that was followed by many Forum members who have also chosen the RM380, and like me favored it over the M&P Bodyguard. I was actually surprised to see the unusually high responses in favor of the RM380. I was also pleased to see it because it made me realize that I was not one of a very few, but instead I was one of many who preferred my choice.

That of course led me to think about the lack of interest in the RM380 subforum here at this Site. It quickly became clear to me that the drawing card on he S&W subforum thread was the topic of EDC/SD. People who do not talk about the RM380 here did talk about it as a great EDC in the S&W forum. I know that some of the participants here participated in that thread because they private messaged me asking if I was the same richardw as in this Forum.

So after some slight analysis I realized what the major difference between the structure of this Forum and that of S&W was the S&W did not have narrowly defined subforums like exist here. For example, the S&W Form has subforums for SW and MP pistols and rifles that is four subforums to cover all the types of guns. Those subforums are bristling with posts because they cover a lot of material, and that attracts viewers and participants making the site very popular with over 15,000 members. Since there is no restriction on non S&W gun talk in any subforum the Forum appeals to many non S&W owners like me.

It makes me wonder whether the participation in this Forum would increase if the subforums were redefined. I do not know the answer to that question, but I am curious what others think.

I agree that some of sub forums could be consolidated. A single pistol sub forum would be enough.
