I found a link on another website that sells pre-ban colt mags to NY. I just ordered a few and will let everyone know how they turn out.

They came in this week and are better then I would have thought, they look basically brand new! After doing a little research on what type of Colts these where, I believe these are from the 70's but I'll have to do do some more searching.

are these magazines completely legitimate? with the mfg dates on them and all? I live in New York and would LOVE to get ahold of as many pre ban magazines as I can. But, I need to make sure they are true pre bans... otherwise I'd probably go to jail.. for a long time.

Yes they are 100% legal to own. There is no stamps on the outside but there are a few markings on the floor plates and on the inside that puts these mags in the 70's era. Most pre ban mags are not dated, mag generally started to be stamped with dates around the ban in 1994 and all mags manufactured after the ban are dated with a few exceptions ie pmags. Hopefully this helps.
