I've got a line on one of these, (Remington 7600 200th Anniversary Edition in .30-06), for $1,690.00 out the door. (The gun has a MSRP of $1,999.00). I'm seriously debating getting it. This is a, "buy to have" type gun, as I doubt I will fire it. I've always liked the 7600, in spite of some guys having extraction and ejection problems with them. A pump action just does not have the forceful camming action of a bolt gun. Especially with hot loads. Others report no problems after years of shooting.
These 200th Anniversary Edition guns are beautiful. The Cabela's by me has a Model 700 200th Anniversary in 7MM Remington Magnum, and it is simply gorgeous. What kind of luck have you 7600 owners had with your guns? I know these things are not MOA rifles. But I'm more concerned with the operation of them. Even though this rifle won't see much if any use, I don't want to buy into a problematic weapon. Even one as beautiful as this one.

Sounds like a good deal...
My Remington Model 700 BDL is chambered for 7mm Rem Mag... My Remington Model 7600 is chambered in 30-06 Springfield... Both are from the 1980's...and have treated me well over the years... |

Go for it if ya got the money to burn! Never heard of any problems myself from those who owned em. I would have a tough time pulling the trigger too but by the time it's worth a fortune you'll be pushin up daisies. Hey enjoy it life's too short.

Hmmm Come to think of it I would have been better off buying the Model Six back in 81. Only made 36,000 of em. Still waitin for my Four to be worth big bucks.
