Got out to the range for the first time on Saturday. First 50 rounds I probably had 5 FTFs, which was a bit frustrating, but the gun was very accurate. I cleaned and re-lubed it and went back on Sunday. Another 50 rounds, this time carefully seated in the mag, no failures at all, and very ridiculously accurate. This is a tremendously fun pistol to shoot, I'm ready to go again.

Ain't the R1 a great pistol, WNC? I was at the range today myself with my new R1 Commander. 300 rounds downrange without a hiccup. The R1's sights make me look really great on the firing line. A fabulous $590 investment. I'm very pleased and I tell everyone I know. Enjoy!

Major Dad, totally agree. I see other people on the forums asking about entry 1911s, I can't imagine a better choice for the price.

FTFs never stopped, but new replacement working well so far, also crazy accurate.
