My brand new Remington 552 BDL lost it's fore end at the range....just fell off, as the fasteners were apparently stripped by an assembler.
Sent the rifle per Remington instructions to Illion, NY, for warranty service.
My Remington 552 BDL arrived home yesterday, and the factory repair people destroyed the rifle....I am so sick.
The entire left side of the barrel is scratched/gouged from receiver to muzzle; looks like someone used a knife on it.
Worse yet, the front left side of the receiver has two dings with a scratch, and the butt stock has some light abrasions to the finish plus a ding. New fore end also has a ding on it.
Whomever removed the bubble wrap, destroyed a brand new rifle, just purchased in July, and fired one time only.
Spent most of yesterday afternoon on the telephone with Remington, and absolutely nothing has been resolved. Everyone at Remington Country seems as if they could care less about what someone at the Factory did to that rifle.
Thank You Remington Arms Inc, for the destructive warranty service!
I've bought three new Remington firearms within the last year, the 552 being the latest.
During June 2014, I bought My son (who is deployed to the middle east), a brand new Remington R1 1911 Centennial Commemorative, which is His birthday present, and is waiting at the gun store, when He returns to His home.
Last year, I bought a brand new Remington 504 rifle, 22 caliber, but fortunately, that rifle hasn't needed a trip to the factory.......believe Me.....IT NEVER will go back to that mad house.
