I have a Remington 870SP Turkey Super-Mag 12ga pump, I currently have a thumb-hole stock on it(Factory). Im gonna buy a used shur-shot.
My question is " Will the 870 12ga pump Shur-Shot buttstock/forearm fit my gun or is there a difference between the regular 870 express and the super-mag other than shell chamber size?"
Thanks!

I thought the buttstocks and fore ends (sans action tube and bars) would interchange, but Remington does not show any commonality on the parts list. I have seen a buttstock swapped, but that's it, sorry.
What could have happened... did.

Thanks for the info.
I kinda thought the buttstock would go but was un-sure about the forearm. Im buying a stock/forearm from a guy, I guess We'll see how the forearm goes when that set arrives.
I sold my forearm/buttstock on mine, told the guy I wanted to wait and see if both piece's fit before I'd have him send any money. He's kinda in the same boat and wondering if mine would switch over to his LOL!
Thanks!

Forend is longer on SM versus the standard express magnum..I put a SM forend on my express magnum. Rubbed a lil on receiver, shaved down inside of forend and works fine. The express magnum will work on the SM, just not as long

Stocks should be fully interchangeable between standard and SuperMag 870s, though I'm sure there are some low-end aftermarket stocks that aren't designed to handle a steady diet of 3.5" shells. Some aftermarket fore-ends might not work perfectly on a SuperMag, but I think most (if not all) factory fore-ends are good to go. Worst case though, you may just have to file a little bit of material off to keep the fore-end from touching the receiver. Shouldn't be much of a problem.
