Looks like 2015 model year will offer scope and rings while still keeping the same (or close to) price point. I didn't see it mentioned anywhere on Remingtons website/catalog who they are partnered with, I'm guessing Bushnell? Looks to be going after Rugers American/Redfield combo......

Shooter - From the reviews I have read on this model, I cant see going wrong with this package. At $451msrp I bet you will see them under $400 in stores.

From everything I have read about the 783, it is probably as much of a rifle as my 700. If I buy another bolt gun, I am going with this model over another 700. I mean, why not? They seem to shoot as straight, and now with supplied scope rings? I'll put the money I save into another scope, and have just as good shooting rifle as the 700.

not just scope rings but a scope also! Unless the provided scope is not what your looking for. I believe equipped with a 3x9-40.
I agree, a walnut dressed 700 is hard to pass up, but so is the price tag on a 783, given the accuracy of both. I think the 783 and the V3 might make it into my safe in 2015. I finally switched to the VersaMax for my duck gun and it is outstanding so far. "...to disarm the people - that was the best and most effectual way to enslave them." -George Mason

I should just look it up, but is the 783 made in .223 Remington? My Model 700 is in .30-06, and after about 10-15 rounds, it gets a little hard on the shoulder. USMC 83' - 87'

Yep! 223 up to 300 win mag I believe. I'll probably go 243 myself, good middle of the road caliber for deer and yotes here.

I want one in .223. Easy on the shoulder, and could still take a BG out at 300. USMC 83' - 87'
