Hi guys, long time shooter/hunter but never a semi. A LGS had an 1100 at a very attractive price, most of which I assumed was the addition of a Herters adjustable choke knocking down the attraction. Must be an older model, 2 3/4 only shells, ventilated rib, brass bead, and nice checkering on the wood. However it does show its age, but for $ 280 OTD I thought it was a good price and most importantly in my price range for a 2 or 3 time probable usage at my son's home breaking a few clays. Anyway, took it to the range and found it shoots low and to the right at 25 yards, far from being on target compared to my other shotguns. The adjustable choke actually does a nice job of patterning the shot opening and closing as it should, however not where its aimed. But it is consistent in its being low and to the right.

Other than a set of sights any options ? I did price barrels but they are out of my price range for a 2 or 3 time a year gun. I actually like the choke system if I can get it to shoot where its aimed. If I cut the barrel I'd end up with an approx 21 inch and that would be ok with me. Not sure if that would solve the problem however and then I'd be annoyed to say the least.

I will assume that you are a right hand shooter and that you are not pressing your cheek hard into and down onto the stock?
you have two options.
build the left side and top of the stock up so that you are moving your eye with the gun mounted left and up
or find a nice sturdy tree and adjust the barrel by bending it until it shoots where you are looking.

if you are trying to sight it like a rifle though i would expect it to shoot low and right for a right handed shooter.

If you cut the barrel you can get it re-drilled and tapped for choke tubes for less than $100 at various locations. Some will even give you a choice of Rem, Mossberg, etc if you have chokes from another gun you want to continue to use.

A LOT of old choke devices got installed slightly off and that can produce what you are seeing. I don't like Poly Chokes, but most of those were installed by them and they do shoot true.
What could have happened... did.
