Anyone know the parts to get a Versa Max Tactical 22" into with a 28" barrel, without the magazine extension tube?

This an obvious one:

28" Versa Max Barrel, with FO sight.

What else?

Anyone have any ideas? It looks to be just the barrel, magazine tube cap, and shorter standard capacity spring for the tube?

Looks like I would just find a used Versamax instead of the hassle of changing parts

If its up high, it's coming to the ground

I ended up buying the parts, 4 in total: 28" barrel (25% off of their normal price and not the cheaper Sportsman's barrel either), spring, cap, and magazine spring retainer. $374 before tax (Remington has a factory in my state I think).

Swapping the parts takes less than 5 minutes if I have the allen wrenches to remove the clamp, way easier than disassembling for full cleaning.

It cycles great with dummy rounds. Haven't tried live rounds yet, so that will be next...

Thanks! I was trying to work this out myself. The one thing that I saw different when looking at the parts diagram was that the tactical has a different part number for the magazine tube.

1458030 Magazine Tube, Original Style
vs.
1458020 Magazine Tube, Tactical, No Detents

Anyone know the difference?

It would be great to hear the results of your live fire test.
