I have been itching for more capacity on my 887. So I made a few helpful mods.

1. Tacstar 7 shot extension for the 870 (Gander Mountain $69.99) Have to grind away the nubs inside of your attached chamber and about 2 mm off the plastic bottom portion of the barrel for this to work.

2. UTG Deluxe Tri-Rail Barrel Mount (Amazon $15) Please note.. there are others. I should have used one for a larger diameter but made due.. some may not like it but it suits me.I would have had much less work if I went with another bigger model.

3. UTG Tactical OP Bipod - Tactical/Sniper Profile Adjustable Height 8inches to 12 inches and can fold fold forward or mount to fold back. (Amazon $33)

4. 887 Barrel Clamp Assembly (F302368) (Amazon, sold by Remington country $48 This helps secure magazine extension and is your new top connection for sling.

IF anyone is interested on how I did this, just post and I will elaborate. (Yes, some shaving of the barrel happened but not a big deal

I ran 200 rounds thru at range and sighted in at 125 yards with Hornady SST's and Rifled choke. Nothing has budged.

Thanks SHOOTER13.

Your post have helped me along the way, so thank you!

Just ordered a metal follower for the magazine as well (to replace the plastic factory follower). Also found and rod that a can screw in to the end of the magazine to limit the capacity for hunting!

Love my 887..
